I start by understanding your goals: what do you want to achieve with your content? Is it website traffic? E-mail marketing conversions? Clear and user-friendly product guides?

Then, I ask you about your products and services, your expertise and credentials, your brand and tone of voice, and what makes you unique – all so important for your content.

Research & Planning

“Intent” is everything. Both the intent of you as a business and the intent of your readers.

Before I start writing, I know: why people searched for your content, why they’re reading it, what they want from it (even if they don’t know yet), and how to sell the solution – which is (hopefully) you!



Google loves ‘helpful content’.

Helpful content is clearly laid out, answers the right questions (properly), uses tables, infographics and videos, is jargon-free (where it needs to be), and, perhaps most importantly, ticks the E-E-A-T boxes (Experience, Expertise, Authority and Trust).

I don’t do SEO ‘shortcuts’ or ‘hacks’. I write helpful content, and Google likes this because readers like it.
